PRIVACY POLICY OF THE 3W CONGRESS – WATER, HYDROGEN, CARBON

This document complies with the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 94/46/EC (hereinafter “GDPR”) with regard to the processing of personal data, and with Article 173 of the Telecommunications Law with regard to the management of cookies.

§1
General Information

  1. The Controller of the personal data collected by the website kongres3w.pl is Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, based in Warsaw, Aleje Jerozolimskie 7; 00-955, address for service: VARSO 2, ul. Chmielna 73, 00-801 Warsaw, hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.

  • The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted on matters related to the processing of personal data, by e-mail to: iod@bgk.pl.
  1. Information about the Congress is available at www.kongres3w.pl (hereinafter referred to as the Website).
  2. All rights to the Website and its content belong to the Organizer. The Organizer is authorized to add, edit, change and delete any content posted on the Website, in whole or in part.
  3. The name of the Website, the logo, the principles of how the Website works, all its graphic elements, the interface, as well as the software on which it is based, the code of the Website and the databases are subject to legal protection under the provisions of the Act of February 4, 1994 on copyright and related rights (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1191), the Act of June 30, 2000 – Industrial Property Law (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2017, item 776) and other mandatory laws, including Community laws.

§2
Processing of personal data

  1. By completing the form, the Participant declares that the provided data are true.
  2. The Controller processes the personal data obtained in this way for the following purposes:
  • organization and conduct of the event on the basis of acceptance of the regulations (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), fulfillment of the Controller’s legal obligations as the organizer of the event (Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR), establishment and investigation of possible claims or defense against them on the basis of the Controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).
  1. Period of Personal Data processing:
  • data processed for the preparation of the event are processed until the event is held,
  • data processed on the basis of consent until the consent is revoked,
  • data processed on the basis of the Controller’s legitimate interest is processed until an objection is effectively filed or the interest ceases.
  1. Personal data are processed only by the Controller’s employees and subcontractors who have been authorized and properly trained to do so.
  2. Each person has the right to access their personal data, the right to request rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability. Each person has the right to object to the processing of data, in particular to object to processing based on the legitimate interest of the Controller, and to revoke the consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of the consent prior to its revocation, provided that such actions may prevent the Organizer from ensuring the Participant’s participation in the event.

At any time, if a Participant believes that their personal data are being processed contrary to the law, the Participant may file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

§3
Cookies Policy

  1. As part of the operation of the Website, the Organizer automatically collects and processes only the information contained in cookies.
  2. The cookies mean, according to Article 173 of the Act of July 16, 2004 Telecommunications Law (consolidated text, Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1954), IT data (in particular text files) which are stored on the Website User’s terminal device and which are necessary or useful for the use of the Website. As a rule, the above-described data are marked with a unique number and refer to the name of the website from which they originate and the time they are stored on the Website User’s terminal device.
  3. The purpose of using cookies is:
  • adapting the content of the Website to the preferences of the Website User and improving the use of the Website; in particular, the aforementioned IT data allow recognizing the Website User’s device and adjusting the displayed website to User’s individual needs;
  • systematizing and compiling data on the User’s needs and use of the Website, enabling improvement of its structure;
  • maintaining the session of the logged-in Website User (after logging in) without the need to log in again on the Website subpages.
  1. The Website uses, in principle, two types of cookies: “persistent” cookies and “session” cookies. “Persistent” IT data remain on the Website User’s terminal device until they are deleted by the Website User, provided that the parameters of cookies provide for a final date of their expiration. “Session” cookies are temporary in nature and are stored on the Website User’s terminal device until the Website is no longer in use (i.e. until the User logs out, leaves the Website, or shuts down the software – web browser).
  2. The Website uses the following types of IT data:
  • “functional” cookies which contain data concerning the personal settings of the Website User, including the interface, e.g. concerning the country, region of origin of the Website User, font size, etc;
  • “performance” cookies containing data on how and how efficiently the Website is used;
  • “advertising” cookies used to provide the Website User with commercial information regarding the services provided on the Website;
  • “indispensable” cookies whose download makes the use of services available on the Website possible, such as IT data used for services requiring authorization on the Website;
  • cookies used for security purposes, such as those used for detecting abuse of authorization for access to the Website.
  1. Most web browsers (software used to use websites) allow cookies to be stored on the Website User’s terminal device by default. Changing the settings in this regard is the sole responsibility of the Website User and can be done by the User at any time, in particular by automatic blockage of cookies in the Website User’s browser settings. Detailed information on the handling of the IT data indicated above is available in the settings of web browser.
  2. The Organizer informs that the use of partial or full blockage of cookies may limit the availability of the services offered on the Website.
