Wojciech Szopiński

Wojciech Szopiński is an attorney-at-law and Senior Associate in the Department of Energy and Infrastructure Department at the CMS law firm.

He specializes in advising on a wide range of Polish and EU environmental and energy laws, including regulatory and contractual issues, transactions, financing, project implementation, and litigation. His experience includes, in particular, advising on climate protection (EU ETS), ESG, waste and water management, and soil and groundwater pollution. He advises on energy and environmental issues, permit issuance, environmental impact assessments, construction and spatial planning, and the development of renewable energy, conventional energy and infrastructure projects. He has experience in dealing with local and governmental authorities, NGOs, local communities and administrative courts, particularly in permit disputes. His experience includes advising on the development of renewable energy investments (onshore and offshore), transmission and power grid development projects (onshore and offshore), large industrial projects (including chemical and manufacturing facilities).
