A physicist, director of the ECOTECH-COMPLEX Centre of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin and the titular professor at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań His research fields include photophysics, photochemistry and the physics of the vision process.
He has completed numerous research internships and study visits to universities and research institutions in Europe, Asia and the USA. He has managed large grants under the Human Capital and Infrastructure and Environment operational programmes. He has held numerous positions in science and higher education management, including the position of the Vice-Rector for Science at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Dean of the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He has perfected his knowledge and skills in the functioning of the research and higher education area during conferences, seminars and specialized study visits, including to Stanford University, the European Commission and the European Parliament.
