Prof. Mariusz Jerzy Stolarski, BEng, PhD, DSc

Titular professor of agricultural sciences, employed as a professor at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (UWM). Research related to bioresources, agroenergy, bioeconomy and renewable energy sources. Cultivation, productivity, biomass quality and possibilities of using perennial and annual alternative crops for energy and industrial purposes. Production technologies and logistics for obtaining bioresources, processing them into higher value-added bioproducts, and conversion to solid, liquid and gaseous biofuels. Cascading use of different types of agricultural and forest bioresources. Bioconversion of different types of biomass residues using insects. Evaluating the economic, energy and environmental efficiency of bioresources cultivation, production, logistics and processing. Characterization and assessment of opportunities for biomass and other renewable energy sources at the individual, local, regional, national and international levels.

Participation in a total of 26 research projects; 12 of which are international, including 4 as a manager; 14 national projects, including, among others, management of the interdisciplinary project BIOmagic, under the Biostrateg 3 program. Author/co-author of about 370 publications, including 189 original ones, of which 108 with IF; total IF = 425.255, IH = 24 (WoS); Citation Index of 1785 (WoS); co-author of 11 Salix spp. and 1 patent. Number of PhDs promoted: 7 (including 2 implementation PhDs).
