Michał Krzyżaniak is a university professor working in the Department of Genetics, Plant Breeding and Bioresource Engineering at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. For about 15 years, he has been involved in sustainable agricultural production, and for the past five years, in using the residues of the agri-food sector to breed insects (mealworms and black soldier flies). He is a co-founder of one of the first companies in Poland (OVAD sp. z o.o.) that breeds and processes insects for feed and food.
