Professor at Poznań University of Technology employed at the Institute of Thermal Energy. His main research interests focus on combustion processes of alternative solid and gaseous fuels for industrial applications, in particular in terms of toxic compound formation and decarbonisation processes. His current works include the use of hydrogen and ammonia in swirling flames and flameless combustion technologies. Another area of his scientific interests is thermal processing technologies for solid fuels (biomass, waste), such as pyrolysis and gasification. Author of dozens of scientific papers, chapters in monographs and conference proceedings. He is engaged into experimental research and thermodynamic and environmental analyses. Editor of Atmosphere Journal, Sustainability Carbon Capture Science & Technology. Member of the European Tribune Network, the Polish Combustion Institute and Ammonia Energy Society.
