Krzysztof Szoszkiewicz, Professor, PhD with habilitation  

Professor in the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection at the University of Life Sciences in Poznan. Currently serving as Rector and previously as Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation (2016-2020) and Vice-Dean for Science at the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Planning. His research topics include ecology and environmental protection, bioindication of aquatic ecosystems, ecological and hydro-morphological assessment of waters, biodiversity assessment and the use of renewable energy in agricultural systems. He has been involved in over 30 research projects, including 12 as a coordinator, e.g. Bringing nature back – biodiversity friendly nature-based solutions in cities in the framework of the BiodivRestore programme (Horizon 2020); Scientific basis for integrated assessment of ecological status of rivers and lakes to support river basin management plans – the Polish-Norwegian Research Fund, STAR – the 5th EU Framework Programme. He is an author of over 300 publications, including 122 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and 7 books and monographs.
