Katarzyna Pala, Ph.D., is a graduate of Wrocław University of Technology and the University of Wrocław where she completed her doctoral studies in biotechnology. In addition, she graduated from a program in the field of intellectual property management at Jagiellonian University. She gained her professional experience among others by heading the commercialization department at WCB EIT+ (now PORT https://www.port.org.pl/pl/) and as the co-founder and director of Business Development at SensDx. She also completed an internship at the University of Wollongong in Australia at the research commercialization department.
She is the co-founder of Food4Future Technologies, a Polish-Norwegian start-up that deals with modern solutions for circular food production, in accordance with the circular economy philosophy. F4F Tech is a company that develops RAS – recirculating aquaculture systems that ensure the production of high-quality food with low water consumption and an environmentally friendly and minimal carbon footprint. In addition, she co-founded the Water Science and Technology Institute – H2O SciTech – a foundation whose mission is to carry out projects related to water protection and circular systems.
