I am a graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering. I defended my PhD dissertation in chemistry at the AGH University. Since 1997, I have been an employee of Łukasiewicz – Instytut Ceramiki i Materiałów Budowlanych and since 2020, I have been employed as Director of the Refractory Materials Center. For several years, I have been conducting research on hydrogen corrosion of ceramic materials at high temperatures. In the area of research, I am an author of several patents and many expert reports on the causes of premature degradation of ceramic materials in industrial installations, and the organizer of several seminars on refractory ceramics. I am a member of Technical Committee No. 28 of the Polish Committee for Standardization, a technical expert in the European Committee for Standardization CEN/TC 187/WG, and a member of Working Group G3: Hydrogen generation established by the Ministry of Climate and Environment under the Sectoral Agreement for the Development of the Hydrogen Economy. In addition, I am a member of Małopolska Regionalna Grupa ds. Rozwoju Technologii Wodorowych (Małopolska Regional Group for the Development of Hydrogen Technologies) established at the Marshal’s Office of Małopolska, and I participate as an expert in the project “Strategy for the Security of Hydrogen Technologies in Poland in 2022-2030” funded by the Ministry of the Economy and National Economy under the competition “Science for Society”.
